The Blue Folder provides a VPN (Virtual Private Network) on a LILAC server linking internal computers.
The Blue Folder Provides access to: Work - Used to access and save files within a workplace. Web - Used to present files for viewing on the public Internet by external web browsing.
File types accessed and saved in the Blue Folder
Verity files, Word documents, spreadsheets, PDF's, images, etc.

1. With a single mouse click within the blue folder a file is opened (downloaded from the server) by a particular operator. The file is "Checked Out", prohibiting further downloads of the file until the 1st operator releases the checkout rights. This prevents two users competeing for and ultimately saving different versions a file.
'Release All' - Releases checked-out files, allowing other users access to the document. 'Review Checkout' - Dislpays files currently checked out by individual users.
Backup Work and Web
Backups are second copies of Work and Web which are saved to the backup folder on the C drive, and removable USB if selected in LILAC Live Backup program.
Where Work is manageable in size, it can be backed up daily in the 1am scheduled backup, by ticking the 'Include Work' checkbox within the LILAC Live Backup program. Where the Work is large, ie contains thousands of images, and is not regularly modified, clicking the 'Backup Work' button in LILAC Live Backup program, will make a single / point in time copy of Work.
Web is backed up daily to subfolders.zip as an automated function of the 1am scheduled backup.
